John Katrek was born in 1942.  He entered the Navy and went to IC "A" school.  He qualified on the USS Argonaught (SS475) in 1961.  John was advanced to First Class while he was at Nuc School at Bainbridge.  His second boat was the USS Picuda (SS382) out of Key West, Fla.  John married his wife Margaret (Maggie) in 1967.  After he left the navy he owned the Palm Elevator Co. in Ft. Laud. 1969-1979.  He retired in 1998.

John is currently living in Marietta, Ga.  He enjoys Inventing things, Bluegrass Music, Fishing, Going to
